SEPTEMBER 10 TO OCTOBER 10 2021
A Tree Fell On It – Graeme Patterson
For his third exhibition at Galerie 3, Graeme Patterson presents A Tree Fell on It, a major new multidisciplinary project. Over the past three years, the artist has been busy developing a series of complex works consisting of large-scale models, kinetic sculptures, 3D printing, interactive video, music and, for the first time, virtual reality. Inspired by the fall of a 60-year-old tree on the artist’s house, this body of work explores the physical and emotional relationship of the occupants of one location.
Matière Écranique – Baron Lanteigne / Camille Bernard-Gravel
In March 2021, Christie’s auction house sold a record $69.3 million NFT (non-fungible tokens), bringing to light an artistic practice that was previously little known to the general public and the visual arts community. Intrigued and stimulated to further understand this phenomenon, Galerie 3’s team invited artist Baron Lanteigne to present an exhibition that would bring to light questions specific to digital art and technologies as well as cybercommunities.
